Data changelog

Every change to the data we publish, newest first: what is new, what we now calculate or source differently, what we corrected and what has ended. New charts are added here the day they first appear.

  1. Method

Options implied volatility joins the Fear & Greed Index

Bitcoin's and Ether's Fear & Greed indexes now include options implied volatility (Deribit's DVOL index, from our own collection), weighted 10 of 100 and inverted, so expensive options lean to fear. Its history starts in March 2021, so it scores from 23 March 2022, and every daily reading from then on was recalculated: Bitcoin's moved by 2.8 points on average and 6.3 at most (11 March 2024), Ether's by 2.6 on average and 6.4 at most (23 November 2024), and the market index's by 1.6 on average and 3.8 at most. The hourly view was recalculated the same way. Earlier readings and other coins' indexes are unchanged.

  2. Correction

Deribit liquidations restored from 24 October

Deribit's liquidations were missing from the liquidation charts and totals from 24 Oct 2026 00:40 UTC to 8 Nov 2026. Deribit marks a liquidation in its public trade record about two hours after the trade, and our poller read only the newest minutes. They were refilled from that record on 8 Nov: Bitcoin's liquidations on 24 Oct 2026 now read $152.2 million, not $144.5 million. Deribit's liquidations now join the totals about three hours late.

  3. Correction

    Stablecoin vault yields corrected

The Ethereum stablecoin vault yield chart and the yields of single vaults had published impossible values, because sudden jumps in a vault's share price were counted as interest. Since 8 Nov 2026 a window is left out when a vault's share price moves more than 1% within an hour or its yield is above 100% a year, and the class averages count only vaults worth at least $1 million. The history was recalculated.

  4. API

MCP server reads your plan with an API key

AI assistants and agents connected to the MCP server can send an API key to read what their plan includes: every chart of the plan, hourly data on Plus and ten-minute data on Pro and API & Team, and the signal lab. New analysis tools find the charts furthest from normal, screen every coin by its charts, combine metrics in formulas and correlate two metrics.

  5. Correction

    Kraken inverse perpetual funding corrected

Funding for Kraken’s inverse perpetuals (PI_XBTUSD and PI_ETHUSD) had been stored 20 to 75 times too high from 13 Oct 2025 to 30 Oct 2026, because the venue documents no unit for that field. Those two contracts are now left out and the funding history across venues was recalculated from the stored data: Bitcoin’s daily funding across venues on 24 Oct 2026 reads 0.0087%, not 0.0456%.

  6. Correction

    MARA’s diluted mNAV corrected

MARA’s diluted mNAV on the treasury leaderboard had been shown 1,000 times too small. It now reads correctly.

  7. Source

Fed funds rate read from the H.15 release

The Federal Reserve is retiring its Data Download Program, so the effective fed funds rate now comes from the H.15 release file. Every month from July 1954 to October 2026 is identical in the new source.

  8. New

    Inflation-adjusted Bitcoin price

Bitcoin’s price in today’s dollars, with its all-time high in real terms. The US consumer price index for October 2025 was never published, so that month is estimated and labelled as such.

  9. Method

Free samples of derivatives and flow charts move with time

Without a plan, derivatives and flow charts show the 30 days that ended 7 days ago, labelled inside the chart, instead of a fixed window. Cycle indicators keep their fixed sample years.

  10. New

    Exchange scorecard

Each exchange’s measured components side by side: reserves we can see on chain against what it states, attestation age, open interest against reserves and more, with the method published and no grades.

  11. New

Price, converter and comparison pages for every coin

A price page for every coin we track, a currency converter, side-by-side comparisons, an RSI heatmap and a token finder, with figures that refresh as the pages are served.

  1. Correction

Bybit open interest before 16 September corrected

Bybit’s open interest before 16 Sep 2026 had been counted at half its size. The history before that date is now counted in full.

  2. Correction

Deribit left out of exchange reserves

Deribit publishes no reserve address list we can read, so its Bitcoin is left out of every exchange reserve figure for every day, and its own Bitcoin and Ether figures are no longer shown.

  3. Ended

Binance and Tether stated figures end

We read only documents a company publishes for programmatic use. Binance’s reserve statement and Tether’s transparency figures are therefore no longer read: their charts keep their history to the last statement read (Binance on 4 Nov 2026, Tether on 7 Nov 2026) with an ended status, and node balances continue from the last published address lists, labelled with their date.

  4. New

    Fed net liquidity

The Federal Reserve’s total assets less the Treasury General Account and the overnight reverse repo facility, from official releases, beside Bitcoin’s price.

  5. New

    Bitcoin market regime score

One daily reading from 0 to 100 of how risk-on the market is, from ten lenses: liquidity, capital flows, holder behaviour, on-chain capital, leverage, altcoin rotation, cycle position, and the price’s trend, momentum and structure. Each day’s published reading is kept unchanged; the history before 7 Nov 2026 is calculated afterwards and labelled as such.

  6. New

    ETF holder cost basis

What the US spot ETFs paid on average for the coins they hold, built from the issuers’ daily files.

  7. New

    Asset screener

Screen every coin by the latest readings of its charts, such as MVRV below 1 or funding below zero.

About this changelog

A correction changes figures we had already published, and says what was wrong, from when and what the figures read now. A method or source change alters how a figure is made without making the earlier figures wrong. Ended data keeps its history with an ended status on its charts. Each chart’s information also states its own method and any change to it.

Charts are listed as new on the day they first appear in our public catalogue, from 8 Nov 2026. Data that is late or held right now is on the data status page, and how far back every coin’s charts go on data coverage.
