Litecoin exchange reserves: how much LTC do exchanges hold?

The litecoin at the addresses exchanges publish as their own, read from CryptoKeyhole's Litecoin node every hour, with Binance's own statement beside it.

Binance's figures are its own monthly proof-of-reserves snapshot; ours is read from our Litecoin node every hour.

Binance publishes a proof of reserves every month. In its snapshot of 4 November 2026, the last we read, it says it holds 5.74M LTC for customers' 5.74M LTC, 18,224 LTC of it with a custodian. At 23:00 UTC on 8 Nov 2026 CryptoKeyhole's node saw 6.08M LTC at the litecoin addresses Binance lists, 339,190 LTC more than its statement.

The two needn't match. Binance's figure is a monthly snapshot; ours is this hour. We count every address Binance has listed for litecoin, since a list it later shortened can still hold coins it moved on, and its statement covers coins on other networks and with its custodian that no address list shows. What a match within a few per cent does show is that the coins Binance points to are where it says they are. We read Binance's statements and address lists until 7 November 2026: the endpoint its proof-of-reserves page reads them from asks automated clients not to use it, so none are read after that.

Are litecoin withdrawals moving?

An exchange that pays out litecoin almost every hour should keep doing so. For each exchange that withdrew in at least 80% of hours over the past 30 days, we flag a possible pause once the gap since its last withdrawal is longer than chance and its own recent gaps would explain. Open now: Binance since 21:00 UTC on 29 Oct. A flag is a pattern on the chain, not a statement from the exchange; an exchange can also pay out from addresses it doesn't list.

What this page can and can't tell you

  • Only the exchanges' own lists. Every address here is one an exchange publishes as its own (Binance, OKX, Bybit and Bitfinex); each counts for its whole history. No address is added by following transactions.
  • Read from our own Litecoin node, block by block, and summed for each UTC hour.
  • A lower bound. Exchanges hold coins at addresses they don't list, and Coinbase, Kraken and Robinhood publish no litecoin addresses at all, so the exchanges as a whole hold more than this page shows.
  • Coins, not debts. The chain shows what sits at an address, not what an exchange owes its customers or whether the coins are lent.

Why aren't Coinbase, Kraken or Robinhood here?

They publish no list of their own litecoin addresses, so their coins can't be told apart on chain from anyone else's. This page counts only addresses an exchange names as its own.
