Each programme we follow: what it has bought since its first purchase, and the months it bought in.

Each square is a month, darker the more the programme spent against its own busiest month; empty, no purchase; dashed, before our record. The totals are every purchase since each programme's first, read on our node from the trades of the contracts its project discloses; HYPE's are its last 30 days, from Hyperliquid's public data.

Tokens that burned at least $100 worth in the last 30 days. Every token's burns since its creation are in its Supply Burned charts.

How it is built

Buybacks. We follow programmes whose project names the contract or wallet that buys. Our own archive node reads every trade those contracts have made since the first: the tokens received, what was paid and the hour it settled. Dollar stablecoins count at one dollar; ether and staked ether at the hour's close of our ETH/USD index. When each programme was added, every trade was re-derived from its transaction receipt, with no mismatch.

Burns. Every transfer of a token to the zero address, 0x…01, 0x…dEaD or the token's own burn address since the token was created, read on our node. When each token was added, its contract's total supply was checked against everything minted less everything destroyed; tokens whose figures did not reconcile are left out until they do.

Hyperliquid. HYPE's Assistance Fund buys on Hyperliquid's own chain, which we do not run. Its purchases come from Hyperliquid's public data, read every ten minutes since late October 2026, when our record of it begins.

Shares. Share of supply sets the tokens bought or burned against the supply outside burn addresses, read on our node at the time (HYPE: the circulating supply Hyperliquid reports). A year at this pace scales the 30 days' value to a year, against price times that supply.

Questions

What is a token buyback?

A project spending its revenue or treasury on its own token in the open market. The tokens may be burned, kept in the treasury or paid out to stakers; each programme's chart says which.

Which buybacks are counted?

Programmes whose project names the contract or wallet that buys, so every purchase can be read on chain: Sky's Smart Burn Engine, the Aave DAO's and the Lido DAO's buybacks, Chainlink's fee conversion, the ether.fi Foundation's buybacks and Uniswap's fee burn, all read on our own Ethereum node, and Hyperliquid's Assistance Fund from Hyperliquid's public data. Purchases made through market makers or wallets a project does not name are not counted.

What does "a year at this pace" mean?

The last 30 days' buybacks or burns scaled to a year, as a share of the token's market value. It is a pace, not a forecast: programmes speed up, pause and stop.

How are burns counted?

Tokens sent to an address no one can spend from: the zero address, 0x…01 and 0x…dEaD, and a few tokens' own burn addresses. Burns are valued at today's price; buybacks at the price each trade paid.

Why does a programme say "no purchase in 30 days"?

Programmes pause and restart. Aave governance paused the Aave DAO's buybacks after 19 April 2026, and Chainlink's fee conversion has made no swap since July 2026. Their history stays in their charts.

Where are the charts?

Every entry on this page links to its chart in the Studio. The burn charts are free; the buyback charts (tokens bought back, the money spent and the average price paid) are on Plus, except HYPE's, which are free.
