Questions
How is the price at another market cap worked out?
The chosen market cap divided by the coin’s circulating supply. If Ethereum had Bitcoin’s market cap, its price would be Bitcoin’s market cap divided by the ether in circulation.
Is this a price prediction?
No. It is arithmetic on today’s supply. A coin reaching another’s market cap would need new money on that scale, and supply can change on the way through issuance, burns and unlocks.
Which supply does it use?
Circulating supply: counted by our own nodes for the chains we run, and for other coins the project’s or network’s own published figure, labelled as published supply on each coin’s page.
