BTC: Regional Supply & Price
Where bitcoin’s price moves happen and where its supply goes: the month-over-month price change during each region’s working hours and the year-over-year change in supply attributed to each region.
Regional Supply and Price
Price changes are split by the hours each region trades in: the US, Europe and Asia. A move that keeps happening in one region’s hours shows where buying or selling has been concentrated.
Supply is assigned to a region by the working hours in which its coins last moved, so the yearly change shows which region’s holders have been accumulating or distributing.
Both are statistical attributions by time of day, not locations of holders.
BTC: US Month-over-Month Price Change
The 30-day change of BTC's US regional price: the part of the BTC/USD price change over the last 30 days that happened during US working hours, in US dollars. Shows which region's trading hours drive the trend: buying or selling concentrated in one part of the day shows up as that region's line pulling away from the others. Above zero, the price rose on balance during that region's working hours over the last 30 days; below zero it fell. Together the US, EU and Asia lines add up to about the whole 30-day change in price (each region is measured on its own market, so the sum differs slightly from any one market's change); one region rising while the others fall means that region's hours carried the move.
BTC: Asia Month-over-Month Price Change
The 30-day change of BTC's Asia regional price: the part of the BTC/USD price change over the last 30 days that happened during Asia working hours, in US dollars.
