BTC: CME
Bitcoin futures on CME and the regulated Coinbase nano contract, from the CFTC’s weekly Commitments of Traders reports: open interest in contracts, coins and dollars, and how leveraged funds are positioned.
CME and Regulated Futures
The CFTC publishes positions in US-regulated futures every Friday, as of the Tuesday before. These charts read those reports directly, so each point is a week and arrives a few days after its date.
Leveraged money is the category hedge funds and other leveraged traders report under; its net position has often been short while those funds run the basis trade against spot ETFs.
Daily venue data is in the futures dashboards; this board is the regulated, weekly view.
