ETH: Address Cohorts

Ethereum addresses grouped by the ether they hold, from our own Erigon node: how many addresses hold at least each amount, in ether and in dollars, and how the supply is spread across the balance bands.

Ethereum Address Cohorts

An address counts in a cohort when its balance at the end of the day is at least the cohort’s threshold, so the small cohorts include the large ones. Contract addresses are counted with ordinary ones.

Rising counts of small balances show the network broadening; the large cohorts follow whales and institutions, though exchanges and contracts sit there too.

The supply bands show what share of all ether each balance range holds.

ETH: Addresses with Non-Zero Balance

Addresses holding any amount of ETH at the end of the period. Counts the holders, as opposed to those merely active. Growth means coins are spreading over more addresses; falls mean consolidation or abandonment.

ETH: Addresses with Balance ≥ 0.1

Addresses holding at least 0.1 ETH at the end of the period. Shows how many holders reach a given size, a view of how ownership is spread. Rising counts at larger thresholds point to accumulation by bigger holders.

ETH: Addresses with Balance ≥ 1

Addresses holding at least 1 ETH at the end of the period. Shows how many holders reach a given size, a view of how ownership is spread. Rising counts at larger thresholds point to accumulation by bigger holders.

Addresses whose ETH holdings are worth at least $100 at the day's closing price. A dollar view of holder sizes that moves with price as well as balances. Counts rise with price even when balances do not change; compare with the native thresholds.
