BTC: Price Change 7d — Provider Reported
Bitcoin 7-Day Price Change (Reported) was -2.52% on 7 Nov 2026 (latest daily value).
Bitcoin's price change over the last 7 days, in percent, as a public market-data provider reports it.
Why use it. It shows the past week's move at a glance, the figure most price sites quote. How to read it. Positive is a rise, negative a fall. It is the provider's figure, not our own closing-price return.
Calculation. How ours differs: a third-party figure kept as reported, not calculated by us. Exact definition: The provider-reported BTC price change over 7 days, as a percentage, sampled by UTC hour and day from an external market-data ticker. Positive values are reported price rises and negative values reported falls. These are provider price changes, not volume or capitalization changes and not our exact closed-boundary returns; their sampling and aggregation are not independently reproduced. Each point is the last retained snapshot in its UTC bucket, not a sum or period-end quote. Open buckets are partial, closed snapshots provisional and revisable, and missing buckets stay empty. History starts 2026-10-05. Raw view only, with no smoothing or alerts. Extract the 7-day percentage price-change field, unchanged, from prospectively retained provider ticker response bodies with immutable acquisition receipts, verifying receipt hash, raw-body hash, Bitcoin/USD identity and source rights at read time. The provider's last_updated and our local receipt clocks are attached; source observation age, not acquisition time, determines freshness. Earlier price-only observations cannot establish earlier change history. Field extraction and UTC sampling by CryptoKeyhole.
