BTC: Daily Quote - Cumulative Mean
Bitcoin Daily Quote - Cumulative Mean was $22,484.31 on 7 Nov 2026 (latest daily value).
The average of all of Bitcoin's daily closes, from the start of its price history to each day.
Why use it. A very slow baseline for how far the price sits above its long-run average. How to read it. The line rises slowly; compare the price with it to see how stretched the market is against its whole history.
Calculation. Exact definition: The cumulative mean of all admitted daily closing BTC/USD quotes from the first retained day through each UTC day. Each point weights every daily quote so far equally, so later points move slowly; values are in US dollars per bitcoin. An interior missing quote leaves all later values undefined. Day D uses the following 00:00 UTC quote; earlier quotes are retrospective closes with unknown publication time, venue and vintage, later ones keep their actual clocks, values are provisional and revisable, and the open day is a labelled partial. cumsum(a if a > 0, otherwise undefined) / cumsum(1): the running sum of each UTC day's positive admitted ending-boundary BTC/USD quote divided by the running count of days, from the first retained day. Computed over the full retained history before viewport selection, with existing 40-digit Decimal arithmetic.
