Bitcoin Daily Quote - 12 March 2020 Value Annotation was $4,916.78 on 7 Nov 2026 (latest daily value).

A reference line at Bitcoin's closing price on 12 March 2020, the day of the Covid crash, across the whole chart.

Why use it. A fixed level to compare later prices with. How to read it. Price above the line is above that day's close.

Calculation. Exact definition: A horizontal line at the admitted closing BTC/USD quote for UTC day 2020-03-12, drawn across all charted dates. Earlier plot positions show a value known only later, so this is a retrospective annotation, not a causal signal or backtest. The selected source timestamp and original quote clock are retained. Day D uses the following 00:00 UTC quote; historical quotes are retrospective closes with unknown publication time, venue and vintage, and values remain provisional and revisable. Select the exact admitted closed daily BTC/USD quote for UTC day 2020-03-12, assigned to the following 00:00 UTC boundary, and draw it as a constant horizontal level across all charted dates. Its source timestamp and original quote clock are kept, and existing 40-digit Decimal arithmetic applies.
