BTC: Daily Quote - 30-Day Percentage Change
Bitcoin Daily Quote - 30-Day Percentage Change was -7.2% on 7 Nov 2026 (latest daily value).
Bitcoin's 30-day price change: the daily close against the close 30 days earlier, in percent.
Why use it. It measures monthly momentum: how strongly the price has moved over the past month. How to read it. Above zero the price is higher than a month ago, below zero lower; the extremes came with sharp rallies and crashes.
Calculation. Exact definition: The percentage change between each UTC day's admitted closing BTC/USD quote and the quote 30 days earlier. Positive values mean the quote is higher than 30 days earlier, negative values lower, and zero unchanged. Each point needs both daily quotes, so a missing quote leaves affected days undefined, with no carry or interpolation. Day D uses the following 00:00 UTC quote; earlier quotes are retrospective closes with unknown publication time, venue and vintage, later ones keep their actual clocks, values are provisional and revisable, and the open day is a labelled partial. pct_change(a if a > 0, otherwise undefined, 30): 100 × (quote / quote 30 days earlier - 1), using each UTC day's positive admitted ending-boundary BTC/USD quote. Computed over the full retained history before viewport selection, with existing 40-digit Decimal arithmetic.
