BTC: Coinblock Cost Model Capitalisation — Actual Issuance
Bitcoin Coinblock Cost Model Capitalisation — Actual Issuance was $1,087,301,474,030.83 on 7 Nov 2026 (latest daily value).
The coinblock cost-model price multiplied by actual cumulative issued BTC, giving a model capitalization in USD.
Why use it. Scale the block-age cost model to the whole issued stock for comparison with market value. How to read it. Daily only, from 2011-01-01, although the full July-2010 priced prefix is required. A bad prefix input leaves later values unknown until repaired; a missing or mismatched issuance row leaves that date unknown. Issuance includes genesis and later lost or unspendable coins, not free-float or entity-adjusted supply. The model's residual denominator includes the 9,400 BTC-blocks retired by the two BIP30 overwrites. Descriptive model only; quotes are revisable and weakest-input finality applies.
Calculation. Multiply the unrounded exact cost-model price by same-anchor actual cumulative issued BTC, then round once to 40 significant digits, half-even. The price divides the accumulated daily spent-destroyed satoshi-block flow times each day's admitted ending quote (from 2010-07-17, scaled by 100,000,000) by cumulative created minus spent-destroyed BTC-blocks since genesis, at the highest canonical block assigned to the UTC day by header time.
