BTC: 150-day exponential average
Bitcoin 150-day exponential average was $76,540.13 on 7 Nov 2026 (latest daily value).
The 150-day exponential moving average of the daily BTC close.
Why use it. One of the two lines of the Pi Cycle Bottom: in earlier cycles the 150-day line fell below the scaled 471-day line close to the cycle low. How to read it. Compare it with the other line of the pair: a cross of the 150-day line below the scaled 471-day line has coincided with past bear-market lows. A pattern with few occurrences, not a rule.
Calculation. Exponential moving average with a smoothing factor of 2/151, started from the simple average of its first 150 closes (a missing close restarts it). This is one line of the chart "Pi Cycle Bottom Indicator"; it is published separately so it can be charted, compared and exported alone. Daily closes are the accepted daily valuation prices: historical closes from The Bitcoin Time Machine (CC BY 4.0) until 3 October 2026, then our own recorded quotes; they stay provisional and revisable. A missing or invalid close leaves every window containing it empty; nothing is interpolated.
