BTC: Daily Quote / 90-Day EMA
Bitcoin Daily Quote / 90-Day EMA was 0.971 on 7 Nov 2026 (latest daily value).
Bitcoin's price against its 90-day exponential moving average: the daily close divided by the average.
Why use it. It shows how stretched the price is above or below its quarterly trend. How to read it. 1 means on the trend; well above 1 the price has run hot, below 1 it is under its trend.
Calculation. Exact definition: The admitted daily closing BTC/USD quote divided by its own 90-day exponential moving average. Above 1 the quote is above its 90-day EMA, below 1 beneath it, and 1 means equal. The EMA is seeded from its first 90 adjacent daily values and resets at gaps, so a missing quote leaves values undefined until it reseeds. Day D uses the following 00:00 UTC quote; earlier quotes are retrospective closes with unknown publication time, venue and vintage, later ones keep their actual clocks, values are provisional and revisable, and the open day is a labelled partial. (a if a > 0, otherwise undefined) / ema(a if a > 0, otherwise undefined, 90): each UTC day's positive admitted ending-boundary BTC/USD quote divided by the 90-day EMA of the same quotes, seeded with its first 90 adjacent values. Computed over the full retained history before viewport selection, with existing 40-digit Decimal arithmetic.
