BTC: Price RSI - 14-Day Wilder
Bitcoin Price RSI - 14-Day Wilder was 38.09 on 7 Nov 2026 (latest daily value).
A 14-day relative strength index of admitted closed UTC daily BTC/USD quotes on a 0 to 100 scale.
Why use it. Compare the size of recent daily price gains with recent losses. How to read it. Higher values mean gains have outweighed losses over the recursive price history; lower values mean losses have. An all-flat state is 50, gains with no losses give 100, and losses with no gains give 0. These are calculation conventions, not trading advice or signal thresholds. Only closed daily quotes enter; the open day is a labelled partial. A missing quote breaks the state, and a historical revision may change later values. All results remain provisional and revisable.
Calculation. Seed with the arithmetic means of 14 daily gains and 14 daily losses from 15 adjacent daily prices. Thereafter each average updates as (13 × previous average + current gain or loss) / 14, and RSI = 100 - 100 / (1 + average gain / average loss). After a gap, 15 new adjacent prices reseed the state. Every range is evaluated from the retained history origin, so the viewport does not reseed it. Quotes are admitted daily closing quotes and admitted prospective quotes.
