BTC: Daily Quote - Labels Shifted Backward 365 Days
Bitcoin's daily close moved one year back in time: each date shows the price a year later.
Why use it. A building block for comparing each date with what followed a year on. How to read it. Where this line is above the price, the price was higher a year later.
Calculation. Exact definition: The admitted daily closing BTC/USD quote with its dates moved 365 days earlier, so each date shows the quote from one year later. This is a lookahead demonstration, not a causal signal: earlier dates expose observations that were only known later. Values and their original source clocks stay attached to the source day, coverage and freshness are those of the unshifted quotes, and alerts are unavailable. Day D uses the following 00:00 UTC quote; earlier quotes are retrospective closes with unknown publication time, venue and vintage, and values are provisional and revisable. Display-only shift of -365 fixed UTC days: each admitted daily ending-boundary BTC/USD quote is plotted 365 days before its source day, with its value unchanged and nothing carried or interpolated. Computed over the full retained history before viewport selection, with existing 40-digit Decimal arithmetic.
