Why use it. A measure of spread anchored at that cycle's bottom. How to read it. Higher means a wider spread of prices since that low.
Calculation. Exact definition: The expanding population standard deviation of admitted daily closing BTC/USD quotes from UTC day 2015-01-14 through each later day. Higher values mean quotes since the anchor day are more spread out around their mean, in US dollars per bitcoin; there are no values before 2015-01-14. An interior missing quote leaves all later values undefined. Day D uses the following 00:00 UTC quote; earlier quotes are retrospective closes with unknown publication time, venue and vintage, later ones keep their actual clocks, values are provisional and revisable, and the open day is a labelled partial. cumstd(a if a > 0, otherwise undefined), starting at UTC day 2015-01-14 (Unix time 1421193600), whose exact quote is required: the population standard deviation, dividing by N, of every positive admitted ending-boundary BTC/USD quote from that day onward. Uses existing 40-digit Decimal arithmetic.
